Understand the importance of Connecting Digital Dots

26 Dec, 22

Understanding the importance of Connecting Digital Dots is key when starting and then growing a business, which is not an easy journey and certainly not for everyone.

It requires passion, persistence, and a lot of investment of time and money to build a solid business, which will generate a sustainable income in the long term.

Who is it for?

It helps solo business owners, mission driven entrepreneurs, coaches, and consultants, who have found and turned their passion into a business; to create a bigger positive impact in other people’s lives.

It will help you to know how to scale your businesses and gain time and money freedom, without risking life savings on “fake gurus”, incompatible strategies, freelancers or agencies.

If you want to be a successful business owner, you have to learn about aspects of building a business, that you may not be very passionate about, but you must understand it well enough, in order to be able to find and identify a suitable talented person, who you will be able to outsource those tasks you are not an expert in.

Understanding how to connect digital dots won’t make you an expert in digital tools, marketing, and automation, but it will help you understand the basics of business mechanics, and the components that need to be in place in order for the business to run efficiently, and for you to be seen as an authority and as an expert in your field.

It will enable you to understand the technical jargon of “online business gurus” and make informative decisions, especially, if so far, you were overwhelmed with, the sometimes contradicting business growth strategies.

We call those components and mechanics, your Business Digital Footprint, because everything that can be found online about your business and yourself is your digital footprint.

You may be already familiar with some of the online business elements, but unclear about how are they all connected together.

Therefore, we soon will be launching Connecting Digital Dots – Beginners friendly manual, which will help you to identify and connect all the digital dots and create a well optimised business digital footprint, allowing you to create a bigger impact, be more efficient to achieve time and financial freedom and live life on your terms.

What are the digital dots?

Gear 1 – Branding

It is your logo, your font type, your business colours, and your language style that are all represented on your business accounts banners and profile pictures should be consistent across all the channels and optimised for every device your audience may use.

Gear 2 – Traffic

It is the fuel for your business vehicle, which can be generated from organic and paid marketing tactics, such as free and paid social media marketing, which requires a great understanding of content marketing and understanding who your target audience and ideal client avatar is, to create suitable content for them.

You should set up your social media accounts on, at least, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, regardless if you will use them all or not all at once, the moment you register your domain, to make sure no one else will use the same name and avoid the branding inconsistency in the future.

You need to understand how each of the channel’s algorithm works, what content type to post on it, how often and when, how to set up the settings for maximum exposure and how to brand yourself on it.

Gear 3 – Sales Funnel

A paid tool that allows you to build a sequence of 1-page “websites” quickly, without the need of knowing how to code them or knowing WordPress or Wix or any other type of websites builders.

You need a sales funnel for every offer/product you sell unless they can form a sequence of growing value ladder that provides more and more results.

The sales funnel is your automated sales process tool.

It will allow you to build:

– Landing page/Sign-up page (Opt-in page) – with a “sign-up form” which your audience fill in order to receive your FREEBIE, which is linked to your next business gear – email marketing tool where you will set up your audience list.

– “Thank you” page – which your audience will see after they submitted their request to receive your FREEBIE, which can also be called a “BRIDGE PAGE” because it is bridging the gap between your audience not knowing you, to a page where they can buy from you, so it should include a video that will help them get to know you, your business, and why you believe you can help them.

– Sales page – where you should present solely one of your products/or services that is solving one problem, all of the benefits of the offer your potential clients will achieve if they purchase it, and all of the possible bonuses if they will get if they make a decision to buy on the spot.

As mentioned earlier, your sales funnel is linked to your next gear – an email marketing tool.

Gear 4 – Lead Magnet

“FREEBIE”, also called LEAD MAGNET – this is your business asset that should provide real value to your customer, which you can offer to them in exchange for their email address, so you can build your other business asset – email list.

This can be an e-Book, guide, or a shorter version of a manual like this, a checklist/cheat sheet, a pre-recorded webinar, a FREE challenge, a mini course, a discount for your product, etc.

Be creative!

Ideally, you also want to have a “graphical” 3D mock-up of your product, as it is more attractive than just your written promise what your audience will get in exchange for their email address.

Lead 5 – Email Marketing

You may have heard the expression: “The money is in the email list”. Email marketing let you capture email addresses of all the people interested in your offer before they go and see it on your website.

If they are just curious and not ready to buy, once they see your website shop and leave, without you having their email, they may forget about you faster than the speed of light, and you may never get a chance to reach them again.

However, if you use a sales funnel and a capture page, to offer them a lead magnet in exchange for their email address, that data is being captured by the email marketing tool, which only after that process, takes them to your sales page; by doing this, you will be able to send them regular emails with more valuable information, keep reminding them how can you help them, and to be on their mind when they ready to buy.

Lead 6 – Your Offer

Your service, the digital product you created, a course or even a physical product, needs to be irresistible.

That means it should offer a lot and be a “no-brainer” to pay for the value it will provide.

It should provide all the information about the benefits it will provide the potential buyer and straightforward steps to process to payment.
